Oliver is 7 Months Old!
Weight: 15 lbs 14 oz (10th percentile)
Length: 28 inches (90th percentile)
Oliver's just got over his first ear infection. Luckily ten days of antiobotics seems to have cleared it up. He appears to be returning to his normal, happy self.
Food Strike
Over the past few weeks, Oliver has been on a food strike. Several days he absolutely refused to nurse. He would occasionally take a bottle but overall seemed to think food was optional. The few times he did nurse he thought maybe it was a big buffet--he'd start for a few seconds, stop and look around, want to try again, suck for a second, stop. Argh...
Oliver still refuses solid foods. He continues to shut his mouth tight and give us a "please get that out of my face" look. When we do manage to get food in he spits it out continuing to act as if we gave him lemons. The pediatrian recommend we try to let him feed himself with just soft foods as opposed to pureed foods. He seemed interested but gave the same ol look.
Love of Tags
Oliver still has a love of tags. The funny thing is that he prefers the official tag on anything. We have several toys with nice, soft, satin tags. But, he goes right past them and sucks only on the official tag. This has come in handy several times when I have forgotten a toy. I gave him his jacket and he immediately found the tag and was happy as a clam!
Brotherly Love
Samuel and Oliver continue to be best buds. Oliver has started to play games with Samuel--dropping his toys off the highchair and watching him get it, playing catch (sort of), and wrestling with each other!
