The weather turned a bit wintery this week. We had rain, wind, and cooler temperatures. Unfortunately with all the change in seasons came the colds. Samuel was up all last night crying, moaning, and complaining about his ear. Wouldn't you know it, he has an ear infection. Winter is not his friend.
Samuel is prone to ear infections. Last winter we were one ear infection away from seriously discussing tubes. According to his doctor, the count now starts over. So, if he gets three more ear infections over the next 3 months or if it takes more than 1 type of antibiotice to cure this infection we'll be talking tubes. We haven't done much research on tubes since I am hoping his little body learns how to drain his ears.
We are also back on the breather for his coughing. Because he is also prone to pnuemonia we are trying to stay on top of chest issues. We have a fabulous doctor who is helping us figure out how to manage Samuel's symptoms and help strengthen his lungs. We are hoping this is just childhood asthma which his doctor thinks he'll outgrow around 5 or 6.
For now, Samuel is asleep on the couch and I am thankful we have flexible jobs!
