My dad's mom, Great Grandma Badgett, was diagnosed in early May with a tumor in her lungs. Her request was to see all the grandchildren before she died. Lucikly we were able to see her two times before she died.
Our family made a trip to Los Angeles shortly after her diagnosis. We were luckily in that while we visited she was in relatively good spirits and very lucid. We enjoyed sitting with her, talking about memories and watching the Dodgers. We hadn't seen her since Oliver was quite small so she had a good time witnessing his vibrant personality! We were able to visit one last time a week later on our way to San Diego. It was a really quick visit but was nice since she passed away while we were on vacation.
My sister and I flew down for her memorial service and burial which was really nice.
We will miss her!
