Halloween 2012

Who can resist a little picking of the nose with the hook!

Halloween was slightly more low-key than previous years. Oliver had a halloween walk at BJs which included "practicing" trick-or-treating at the neighbors house. He managed to get a pretty good haul of candy in only 3 houses!

Samuel had a halloween walk at school which he deemed "super fun". It was great to see all the kids dressed up and parading around the school and neighborhood.

On Halloween we met at some friends house, had pizza and drinks and then headed out in the neighborhood. This year was especially fun as the kids didn't need/want help going up to each house. They could manage on their own so the parents strolled along the sidewalk, drinking tasty beverages and chatting. One house had candy for the kids and wine for the grown ups. What could be better! We trick-or-treated for about an hour and then called it a night. Amazingly enough the kids were bathed and asleep by 8:30--a perfect night!
