Kindergarten ended the middle of June! Samuel did an amazing job during his first year in school. The end of the year was a bit of a blur with lots of parties, field trips and minimum days!
Samuel showed off his hard work during the second School Expo. His class had studied ducks and learned a ton about mallard ducks and their habitat. Samuel got the opportunity to show off his school and classroom to Grandma and Grandpa Badgett.
We had a final student-lead conference with Maestro Pastrano (his Spanish teacher). It was fun to hav Samuel show off all he learned--focusing mainly on his math skills. Maestro asked him several questions and they played a game completely in Spanish. While Samuel is very shy to speak Spanish around us, listening to him talk with Maestro assures us he knows his stuff! Maestro was especially praising Samuel for always trying to respond in Spanish, good selection of friends and his gentle manner.
While Kindergarten was a rocky start the overall year was very positive!
