T-ball (sort of)
The last few Saturdays we have started off our day with t-ball in the park. Several families from the neighborhood have started our own t-ball program. It is really informal but certainly impressionable on Samuel who talks about it all week. The kids practice hitting, fielding, and running the bases all while the parents chat. We're all for the fun and the fact it is free!
No more crib
Oliver had been sleeping rather poorly for several weeks. Every night before bed he points to Samuel's bed. We finally decided to try to move him to a big bed to see if it would help. We said goodbye to the crib with only a few tears on my part. We put Samuel and Oliver's beds on the floor head to head. They thought the new trampoline was great fun!
Garden & Backyard Fun
We planted our pot garden this weekend. I think the technical term is container garden but I prefer pot garden here in Oakland. This year we expanded slightly but planted mainly in the pots where the majority of the sun hits. We have string beans, sweet peas, several tomatoes, peppers, basil, mint, and we are hoping to get a cucumber in also. Samuel again thought the idea was great--he planted most of the beans and peas. Oliver focused on watering.
Samuel has also been really into tools and building. He spent a ton of time making a "clubhouse" out of various scrap wood and nails.
Oliver is trying to get into the t-ball thing with varying degrees of success!
