Tree Decorating
Our annual trip to Cactus (for dinner) and the tree lot was a bit wet this year. Due to rain, Kevin was nice enough to drop me and the kids off while he went to park. Samuel and Oliver promptly went to the first tree they say and declared, "this is the one". By the time Kevin joined us (literally 3 minutes later) the tree was picked out and we were in line to pay! I made the kids stand next to a few trees to make it look like we spent some quality time deciding the perfect tree.
Santa:
We managed to get one child to actually sit on Santa's lap (or at least leaned against his lap). We tried the usual trip to Tilden Carousel to see Santa. Oliver started his protest in the car on the way there. While he clearly did not want to sit on Santa's lap he sure enjoyed the candy canes being handed out!
Lights of San Francisco
We spent one delighful evening enjoying the lights of San Francisco. We took a ferry over to the city, walked around the embarcadero, rode the cable cars to Union Square, had dinner, and then took BART home. It was a lovely night (despite a bit of rain). THe kids loved the cable car ride and the city looked so pretty all decorated.
Lists
The boys had several "coaches" heling them with their Christmas lists. They started out with only 2-3 items on the list but G&G Claassen and Danica (babysitter) helped them add to their list.
