Wow, where did the last 2 weeks go? Oh, that's right....we had the flu. Our family, including the extended Ostrander & Badgett crowd, had the most bizarre flu. It started over a month ago when my parents got the stomach flu. They had an exceptionally bad case including an unfortunate event where my dad passed out, hit his head, and ended up in the ER. Our family's flu wasn't that bad but it did keep us home for a week and on edge for over 2 weeks. It was the flu that just wouldn't go away. At one point I had Kevin sick on the couch, Samuel in his bed, and Anna (my niece) in our bed. Samuel's flu-like symptoms lasted a whole week. He threw up Saturday night, again Monday, and again Friday. The in-between times he moved towards health but never fully got there. Luckily (and miraculously) Oliver and I did not get it (yet).
Well, I am happy to report that our household seems healthy. The sunshine and 70 degree weather has helped tremendously!
