Our car got broken into almost 2 years ago. The back window was broken when we woke up. Samuel (age 2 1/2) of course had 100 questions about why the window was broken. We were fairly vague about the reason. He finally decided a tree must have fallen down and broke the window. He stuck with that theory for quite some time. But, out of the blue the other day while riding in the car, we had the following conversation:
Samuel: I think it was the Easter Bunny.
Jennette: What was the Easter Bunny?
Samuel: The Easter Bunny must have broken the car window to hid an easter egg under the seat.
Jennette: Really?
Samuel: Hum, no I guess the Easter Bunny wouldn't break a window and make such a mess.
Jennette: Guess not.
Who knows what goes through that little guy's head. It is amazing he remembered our window after almost 2 years. It seems like it might still be a real mystery how the window got broken.
