Samuel has had quite a rough 4 days.
Friday Night: In the middle of the night Friday Samuel began throwing up. When I sat on his bed to find out why he was crying at 3AM, he very casually mentioned that he had "throwded up". Bummer.
Saturday: What we thought would be a quick stomach flu kept going and going. After almost 13 hours of constant throwing up he finally was able to keep small amounts of Gatorade down. He was about to head to urgent care but kept enough liquid down to assure us he wasn't dehydrated.
Sunday: Recovery day (or we thought). Samuel ate no food, barely drank water and began complaining about his ears.
Monday: Stayed home from school. Ear Infection diagnosis. Antibiotics started.
Tuesday: Woke up to pink eye. Stay home from school. More antibiotics.
We are hoping that all is well by tomorrow morning. Having a sick kid is no fun. Luckily no one else in the family has experienced any flu-like symptons yet. Although, both Kevin and I feel quite ill whenever he throws up and our eyes itch just looking at Samuel's eyes. Psycho-symatic I suppose.
Poor Oliver in the the last few days has really wanted to give Samuel a hug and kiss. It took one parent full-time effort to keep Oliver away from Samuel. If we turned around for even a second Oliver bolted towards Samuel and jumped on him--smoothering him with kisses.
