In January our family went up to Bass Lake to enjoy the winter activities. The first day we took the boys skiing. It was the perfect day for learning--sunny and beautiful! Badger has a great bunny hill with the rope tow. Kevin and I didn't have skis--we just ran alongside the boys while they practiced.
We had hoped to get off the rope tow but it wasn't going to happen. Samuel is really timid and just not that comfortable on skis. Oliver was ready to go but lost interest by the afternoon. By 2pm both boys had their eye on the deep snow nearby and had much fun building snow castles while Kevin took to the slopes!
The next day we met my parents with Anna (and her friend) to do some sledding. Due to the warm temperatures most of the snow had melted (notice the patches of grass around us!). But, we did find some slick ice that made for really fast sledding runs!
