Pismo Bliss

We decided to splurge and spend an entire week in Pismo at our favorite hotel, the Kon Tiki. We love going to the Tok Kiki as it makes vacation seem so effortless! We all know the routine which basically includes lot of hot tub time, some pool time, watching kids scooter, walking on the beach, and eating yummy pizza and clam chowder.

Our family went down a day before checking into the hotel and did some exploring. The beach patrol let us on the beach where the crazy sand dune city is located. It was great fun to take the little matrix on the beach--we even braved crossing a stream. We only got stuck once but managed to rock ourselves out of the sand hole.

 

We also enjoyed a trip to Morro Bay for some wave watching and fish tacos. Once we got the exploring out of our system, we checked into the hotel and didn't get back in the car for 5 days!

We celebrated New Year's Eve with pizza and coke! The boys had a blast playing with the neon necklaces and poppers. Samuel declared he was staying awake until midnight but crashed out about 10pm!

G&G Badgett joined us for the rest of the week. We spent copious amount of time in the hot tub and pool. This is the first vacation that Kevin and I sat in the hot tub while the kids played in the hotel room. We can see the room so it feels "safe". It also helps that the kids are getting a bit older and vacation is just so much easier! We enjoyed seeing the 26,000 Monarch butterflies in the grove about 1 mile from the hotel. Amazing.
